Kenneth A. Shapiro
Kenneth A. Shapiro is committed to serving his clients in the areas of commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, business and commercial law, contracts, uniform commercial code, real estate, commercial collections, and landlord/tenant issues. He and Richard Mitchell started Mitchell & Shapiro LLP after Mr. Shapiro spent many successful years with the respected firms Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy; Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, and Altman, Kritzer & Levick. He brings to Mitchell & Shapiro LLP significant litigation experience, a record of success, and unparalleled dedication to his clients.
Mr. Shapiro graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and from the Emory University School of Law, where he was the Notes and Comments editor of the Emory Law Journal. He has represented a broad variety of reputable clients, including the National Basketball Association, Charter Communications, Inland Real Estate, Ingles Markets, and Lone Star Equities. He has passed the Certified Public Accountants examination and is a member of numerous esteemed professional organizations, such as the American Bar Association, the UCC and Creditors’ Rights Committee of the State Bar of Georgia, and the bankruptcy section of the Atlanta Bar Association.
In addition, Mr. Shapiro has shown support for the community by serving three terms as president of the Princeton Square Homeowners Association and by hosting informative lectures on creditors’ rights and bankruptcy topics. In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 the readers of Atlanta Magazine voted him a “Georgia Super Lawyer” in commercial litigation.
